We are seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Assets and Inventory Accountant to manage and maintain accurate records of fixed telecom infrastructure and inventory. This role supports financial reporting, ensures compliance with accounting standards, and works closely with technical, procurement, and finance teams. A key focus is to track the life cycle and value of high-impact telecom assets such as fiber networks, towers, and transmission equipment, ensuring proper classification, depreciation, and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update fixed asset registers (e.g., towers, fiber, IT equipment).

• Capitalize telecom project costs and monitor asset lifecycle.

• Apply correct depreciation/amortization by asset category.

• Record asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.

• Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledger with general ledger monthly.

• Support physical asset verifications and audits.

• Oversee telecom inventory accounting (e.g., routers, SIMs, network parts).

• Reconcile ERP and warehouse inventory data; analyze variances.

• Coordinate inventory counts and check inventory for slow movement. • Ensure accurate cost allocation and policy compliance. • Handle month/year-end closings and journal entries. • Ensure IFRS and telecom regulatory compliance. • Prepare audit schedules and support audit engagements. • Assist in capital budgeting and forecasting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fixed assets and inventory accounting, preferably within the telecom, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS).

• Experience with ERP systems.

• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

• Strong understanding of telecom asset classes and project accounting.

• High attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.
